RailMac Vehicle Emergency Self-Traction Power System
Pure battery power supply: The train is driven by batteries and has energy recovery function to improve energy utilization;
Battery + hydrogen fuel hybrid power supply: It works with hydrogen fuel to drive rail transit vehicles, can provide electricity for the entire vehicle and recover braking energy, making up for the problem of insufficient output power of hydrogen fuel;
Battery + grid hybrid power supply: It is mainly used for trams based on contact networks. The line is partially equipped with grids, and pure battery traction is used in difficult sections. When the grid fails, the battery can be used as an emergency power supply to realize the vehicle’s self-driving without the grid;
Battery + capacitor hybrid power supply: It is composed of supercapacitors, power batteries and DCDC (direct current converter), which jointly provide traction power;
Features of Vehicle Emergency Self-Traction Power System
Long life: the number of charge and discharge times reaches more than 10,000 times;
High power: large instantaneous output power, meeting the MW-level traction and braking power requirements;
Lightweight: integrated DCDC (direct current converter) and auxiliary power supply to achieve vehicle lightweight;
Informatization: intelligent information management, real-time monitoring of battery status, and fault warning;
High safety: improve vehicle fault redundancy capabilities, solve some energy storage faults, line faults, and long-term parking problems at level crossings; Reduce costs: adopt the first and last station charging mode, short construction period, reduce the impact on the city landscape, and minimize the investment in line power supply facilities;
